Mid-century modern and Japanese influenced

“Atomic” lighting structures of the mid-century era, and Japanese shoji screens were major influences in the design of the first Paper Lantern. While the period lights contained a central sphere with radiating spikes akin to a NASA satellite, the idea of a radial shape emanating light in all directions was captivating. The contrast of solid, and translucent construction creates a myriad of shapes, and geometries for the viewer’s eye; the soft glow of the center lantern backlighting the exoskeleton of radial fins. The lantern can be custom built as a pendant, table, or floor standing fixture depending on your needs.
